Assessment of a P3 laboratory installation site in Ouagadougou, World Health Organization, Burkina Faso, Novembre 2020
As part of diagnostic capacity building and improved biosafety, a ready-to-use P3 modular laboratory should be installed, with WHO support and Global Fund funding, at the National Center of Antituberculosis Control of Ouagadougou. The mission is to remotely verify, in close collaboration with the WHO office in Burkina Faso, the suitability of the site identified for the installation of the laboratory. This involves ensuring the accessibility of the site for the delivery truck and the proper preparation of the concrete supports, also ensuring the good functioning of the water and electricity supply networks, as well as rainwater and wastewater drainage networks. The results of the assessment were compiled into a final report and the lab was then set up without any difficulties or surprises.
